As Compliance Analyst, you will report to the Financial Crime Lawyer and the Associate Director – Risk & Compliance, while working closely with senior lawyers in London and New York. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the firm’s AML compliance framework is applied to Private Client matters, particularly those involving complex international wealth structures. Alongside this, you’ll support wider compliance initiatives and projects, giving you broad exposure across the risk and compliance function.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct client due diligence (CDD) and risk assessments across trusts, foundations, companies, and other private wealth structures

Manage and monitor AML reviews, ensuring matters are resolved in line with firm policies and UK regulations

Maintain and update internal CDD records and oversee ongoing compliance reviews

Support communications with lawyers, clients, and intermediaries such as family offices

Collaborate with the Finance and Billing team to ensure compliance with AML requirements
in billing processes
- Contribute to ad hoc compliance projects and broader risk initiatives
This role would suit a compliance analyst or paralegal with at least two years’ experience in a top-tier City or international law firm, ideally within Private Client or Private Wealth. You will have a strong grasp of UK AML and sanctions regulations and practical experience applying them to UHNWIs, PEPs, trusts, and offshore structures. High levels of professionalism, discretion, and organisational skill are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience with intake and screening systems such as Intapp, World Check, or Orbis would be advantageous.
