This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AML analyst to join a leading international law firm in its London office. Working within the Office of General Counsel, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the firm meets its regulatory obligations while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Why Apply?

  • Competitive salary up to £55,000 plus hybrid working.
  • Exposure to complex, cross-border matters and high-profile clients.
  • Clear career development and progression opportunities.
  • A supportive, inclusive culture where every team member makes a real impact.

As an AML Analyst, you will help safeguard the firm by ensuring robust due diligence is carried out on clients, matters, and third-party payers. This is a varied position with regular interaction with partners, business services teams, and the MLRO, providing you with wide exposure to both the business and its clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out due diligence checks on new and existing clients and matters.
  • Investigate and verify ownership structures to identify ultimate beneficial owners.
  • Undertake risk assessments and escalate issues where higher risk factors are identified.
  • Conduct independent research using internal and external databases.
  • Maintain AML records and ensure periodic refresh of historic data.
  • Provide timely responses to internal queries, including from partners, billing, and support teams.
  • Assist with departmental projects and wider compliance initiatives.

This role would suit someone with at least two years’ experience in an AML role within a law firm. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach are essential, along with strong IT proficiency across MS Office and document management systems.

For an AML professional seeking to progress in a top-tier international environment, this role offers the chance to work on challenging matters, gain exposure to senior stakeholders, and grow your career within a supportive and inclusive team.
