You’ll support the Head of Risk and wider compliance leadership on a wide range of regulatory, data protection and professional standards matters. This varied and high-profile position includes advisory, policy, training and strategic project work. You'll work with stakeholders across the business, including fee-earners, business services professionals, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on interpretation and application of the SRA Code of Conduct
  • Respond to risk and compliance queries from internal stakeholders
  • Support on data protection matters, including breaches and DSARs
  • Review and advise on engagement terms and client contracts
  • Draft and update internal policies, guidance and procedures
  • Provide input on new business intake issues (conflicts, AML, confidentiality)
  • Assist with audits, internal investigations and firm-wide risk assessments
  • Deliver training to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations
  • Monitor legal, regulatory and market developments and support strategic risk projects

This role would suit a qualified lawyer with at least 4 years law firm compliance experience. A sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, combined with data protection and contract review experience, is essential. You'll be a proactive, adaptable professional with strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive and complex issues with discretion and tact.
