A highly regarded US law firm is seeking a Business Acceptance Analyst to join its London team. This role sits within the firm’s global Conflicts & New Business team, supporting the review and clearance of new matters and client relationships. The position combines analytical research with stakeholder engagement, ensuring conflicts and AML checks are completed accurately and efficiently to support the firm’s business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct conflicts searches and analyse results to identify potential issues
  • Perform corporate research and prepare conflicts reports for lawyers
  • Carry out client due diligence and AML verification checks
  • Undertake AML risk assessments and prepare onboarding documentation
  • Conduct sanctions and adverse media screening
  • Maintain accurate records and escalate higher-risk matters where appropriate

Candidate Profile

This role would suit a compliance professional with at least 2 years’ experience in a US or international law firm, ideally with exposure to both conflicts and AML processes. Experience using legal compliance systems (such as Intapp or similar) and screening tools like WorldCheck, Orbis or CapIQ would be beneficial.

Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced professional environment.
