An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment lawyer to join a leading London law firm as a Knowledge Lawyer within its Employment & Partnerships team in this newly created part-time role. This position offers a stimulating mix of strategic, advisory, and collaborative work, ideal for a lawyer who enjoys staying close to the law while influencing how knowledge is shared and applied across the business.

Why Apply?

  • Impactful role: Help shape how knowledge drives excellence, innovation, and consistency within a respected Employment & Partnerships group.
  • Flexibility and balance: Three days per week with hybrid working — two days in the office and one from home.
  • Career development: Perfect for a fee-earner seeking a transition into a knowledge-based role or an existing KDL/PSL looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity.

As a key member of the firm’s Knowledge team, you’ll work closely with partners and associates in the Employment & Partnerships group to maintain and enhance knowledge systems, precedents, and training programmes. You’ll ensure that fee earners are equipped with the latest legal developments, resources, and best practices, while also supporting the group’s client-facing and thought-leadership initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Knowledge, BD, and Risk & Compliance to promote consistency, quality, and innovation in client service delivery.

Who This Role Would Suit

This role would suit a technically strong Employment lawyer with proven experience in Employment law, (exposure to contentious Partnership matters is ideal). You might already be working in a knowledge role or looking to move from fee-earning into a position that allows you to focus on quality, insight, and collaboration.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years PQE as an Employment lawyer (contentious or non-contentious).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to lead training.
  • A commercial mindset and understanding of how law firms operate.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to work.

This is an opportunity to play a central role in driving excellence across a busy and respected team. You’ll combine your legal expertise with your passion for knowledge sharing, helping shape the way colleagues learn, collaborate, and deliver exceptional client service. With genuine flexibility, professional autonomy, and a supportive culture, this is the ideal environment to make an impact while achieving meaningful balance.
