The Employment Knowledge Lawyer will support the team across advisory, contentious and transactional employment matters, ensuring the group remains up to date with legal and market developments. The role is central to maintaining technical excellence, consistency of advice and effective knowledge-sharing, while also contributing to client-facing content and broader practice initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Keeping the team up to date on employment law developments through updates, training and guidance materials
  • Developing and maintaining precedents, templates and know-how resources
  • Supporting legal research and the effective use of internal and external research tools
  • Coordinating and contributing to regular know-how and current awareness sessions
  • Assisting with horizon scanning and analysis of legislative and case law changes
  • Supporting client communications, briefings and seminars in collaboration with business development colleagues
  • Encouraging the use of knowledge systems, technology and AI-enabled tools within the practice

About you

This role would suit an employment-qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE, whether currently working in a knowledge role or looking to move out of fee-earning into knowledge. You will have strong technical foundations in employment law, enjoy legal research and drafting, and be comfortable supporting and collaborating with colleagues at different levels. An organised, proactive approach and an interest in improving how knowledge is captured and shared are key.
