A leading legal technology company is expanding its highly regarded derivatives function and is seeking two derivatives lawyers to join a well-established, expert team in newly created roles.

This is a rare opportunity for lawyers who enjoy technical excellence, intellectual challenge and long-term career stability, without the unpredictability of transactional private practice. The business is busy, growing and deeply invested in retention, offering clear progression, genuine work-life balance and the chance to build a lasting career alongside market-leading specialists.

Why apply?

  • Outstanding work-life balance without compromising on technical complexity or quality
  • Competitive salary and benefits, with great flexibility around working patterns
  • Long-term career prospects with clear progression and strong investment in people
  • Join a friendly, well-established derivatives team known for collaboration and expertise

The successful lawyers will join a specialist derivatives group focused on delivering and evolving complex, multi-jurisdictional legal analysis across key areas of OTC derivatives law. The work is global, analytical and varied, sitting at the intersection of legal expertise, regulatory insight and product development.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing, updating and refining legal analysis across derivatives topics including netting, collateral, pre-trade considerations and regulation
  • Reviewing, analysing and summarising legal opinions from multiple jurisdictions
  • Monitoring global regulatory developments and drafting concise updates and alerts
  • Contributing to the development and evolution of new derivatives-related offerings
  • Supporting client engagement, training and wider commercial initiatives

This role would suit a qualified lawyer with 2+ years’ PQE and experience in the derivatives space, who enjoys technical depth and intellectual challenge but is seeking greater predictability and balance than traditional transactional roles.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Experience with ISDA documentation and familiarity with netting and collateral frameworks
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to distil complex legal material clearly
  • Exposure to cross-border or international legal work
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and strong collaborative instincts

This is an excellent opportunity to continue operating at a high technical level, working alongside experts in their field, while benefiting from a supportive culture, flexible working and genuine long-term stability. The team is busy, growing and well regarded, offering the right candidate the chance to build a sustainable and rewarding career in derivatives law outside the traditional law firm model.
