Join one of the world’s most prestigious US law firms in a broad and dynamic Compliance Analyst role that offers high-level exposure to anti-money laundering, sanctions, conflicts, and wider regulatory compliance. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing and supportive team, where compliance is embedded into the culture and championed from the top down.

Why apply?

  • Join a collaborative and well-respected compliance team with direct access to senior leadership

  • Gain hands-on experience across AML, sanctions, conflicts, and new business intake processes

  • Work in a culture that genuinely values compliance, with strong backing from senior stakeholders

As part of a close-knit team in the London office, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the firm meets its legal and regulatory obligations across multiple areas. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you’ll work alongside Compliance Lawyers, Analysts, and the Compliance Director to support the onboarding of new clients, conduct detailed AML checks, monitor sanctions, and help maintain robust compliance systems. The role also includes contributing to team-wide projects and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting AML and sanctions checks on clients, matters, suppliers, and payments

  • Drafting clear and concise written analysis for the MLRO and fee earners

  • Carrying out risk assessments and client verifications

  • Managing the AML verification database and tracking re-verification schedules

  • Assisting with high-risk monitoring, monthly MLRO reporting, and sanctions alerts

  • Supporting the compliance team inbox, responding to internal queries

  • Liaising with the NY Conflicts team on screening and access requests

  • Assisting with conflict checks, audit letter responses, and lateral hire clearances

  • Contributing to process improvements and compliance-related projects

  • Offering support to more junior colleagues and collaborating with IT on system updates

This role would suit a bright, proactive individual with 1–2 years’ experience in a compliance, risk, or conflicts role, within a law firm environment. A good understanding of AML regulations, strong attention to detail, and confident communication skills are key. You’ll be comfortable handling multiple deadlines, collaborating across departments, and adapting to evolving compliance needs. Familiarity with the SRA Code of Conduct and AML legislation is advantageous, and strong IT literacy is essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop and broaden their compliance career in a firm where your contribution will be recognised. You'll have real exposure across AML, sanctions and conflicts, with the chance to contribute to strategic projects, collaborate across teams, and develop your expertise in a high-trust, high-performing environment.
