Role Overview: Ensure the London office complies with UK AML/CTF regulations and SRA requirements. Reporting to the global Compliance Officer, you’ll oversee compliance operations, foster a culture of compliance, and support strategic decision-making. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a culture of compliance, guiding strategic decision-making, and ensuring that the firm meets its legal and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the London Compliance team, aligning with global strategies.

  • Oversee AML/CTF, CDD, and trade sanctions compliance.

  • Provide expert legal advice on high-risk matters.

  • Update policies to meet UK regulations.

  • Manage compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting.

  • Deputise for the MLRO as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a senior AML/CTF compliance role at a law firm.

  • Strong knowledge of UK legal obligations, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
