As a Senior Employment Lawyer, you will provide strategic legal advice under the supervision of the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. You will be instrumental in advising on employment risks and remedies, overseeing the employment lifecycle, and managing cross-border employment matters. Your expertise will support the Human Resources Department, manage external counsel, and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Advise on and draft international employment-related documents, including contracts and agreements.
Regularly review and ensure firm policies and contracts comply with local laws.
Lead and support investigations of employment-related claims.
Guide performance improvement plans and oversee sensitive terminations.
Manage employment disputes, litigation, and arbitration.
Provide advice on whistleblowing and health and safety issues.
Oversee employment law compliance and responses to regulatory audits.
Consult on cross-border employment matters, including immigration and expatriation.
Support the onboarding of external consultants and contractors.
Keep the firm updated on the latest employment law developments and deliver relevant training.
This position would suit an experienced Employment Lawyer with 7+ years PQE, strong expertise in both in-house and law firm settings, and exceptional drafting and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential, and the ability to work both independently and within a global team is key. A proactive mindset, strong judgement, and pragmatic problem-solving are vital for success in this strategic role.
