An elite US law firm is looking for an experienced Senior Business Acceptance Analyst to join its London Risk & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years’ law firm conflicts experience who is ready to step up, take ownership of more complex work and gain exposure to sophisticated international matters.

Why Apply?

  • Take on greater responsibility – bring your existing conflicts experience to complex matters and take ownership of detailed analysis and resolution.
  • High-quality international work – gain exposure to sophisticated, cross-border conflicts within a leading global law firm.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders – engage directly with Partners and senior Risk & Compliance professionals on complex and sensitive matters.

The Senior Business Acceptance Analyst will play a key role in the firm's new business and conflicts process, carrying out detailed research and analysis to identify, assess and help resolve potential conflicts of interest. Working within an experienced team, they will use sound commercial judgement to navigate more complex queries, communicate recommendations and escalate issues where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed conflicts research and analysis on clients, related parties, shareholders and beneficial owners using internal and external databases.
  • Identify and analyse potential conflicts, providing clear recommendations and escalating complex or sensitive matters where required.
  • Work closely with Partners, lawyers and senior Risk & Compliance stakeholders to resolve conflicts and support new business acceptance.
  • Support new client and matter intake, including complex and expedited conflicts reviews.
  • Apply relevant UK, US and multi-jurisdictional conflicts and professional conduct requirements.
  • Contribute to wider team projects and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues where required.

About You

This opportunity would suit an established conflicts analyst with around 2–3 years’ relevant experience gained within a law firm, who is ready to take on greater responsibility and contribute confidently from the outset. Strong research and analytical skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and the confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Candidates should be commercially minded, comfortable managing competing priorities and capable of handling complex and confidential matters.

For someone looking to move beyond routine conflicts searching and develop their experience of complex analysis, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement, this offers an excellent next step within the Risk & Compliance function of an elite US law firm, with a salary of up to £75k.
