Sitting within a forward-thinking knowledge and innovation function, this role supports a high-performing Corporate / Private Equity group with a strong focus on strategic M&A (public and private). The successful candidate will act as a central resource for legal know-how, training, and market insight, helping lawyers operate more efficiently while contributing to the firm’s broader client offering and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal, market, and practical guidance to lawyers across the M&A and private equity practice
• Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and development initiatives
• Monitor legal and market developments and produce client-facing updates and internal briefings
• Develop, maintain, and enhance precedents, templates, and know-how resources
• Capture and analyze deal insights to strengthen internal knowledge systems
• Support innovation initiatives, including the rollout of AI and legal technology tools
• Contribute to thought leadership, client training, and business development efforts
• Mentor junior lawyers and collaborate across teams to drive best practices

This role would suit a qualified New York lawyer with 6+ years of M&A experience, gained within a leading law firm. Candidates should have strong exposure to public and private transactions, ideally with some experience in private equity. The position is open to fee earners looking to transition into a Professional Support / Knowledge Lawyer role, as well as those already operating in a PSL capacity. The ideal individual will be commercially aware, highly collaborative, and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Strong drafting, research, and organizational skills are essential, alongside an interest in legal innovation, knowledge management, and improving how legal services are delivered.
