Join the London office of an elite US law firm and become part of a globally recognised Risk & Compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance analyst to work on complex international matters, advise senior stakeholders and play a key role in protecting the firm's reputation while developing your career within a first-class environment.
Why Apply?
- Work on high-profile international matters alongside experienced Risk professionals within one of the world's leading law firms.
- Develop your expertise beyond conflicts and AML, gaining exposure to wider regulatory, governance and risk management projects.
- Enjoy genuine career progression within a collaborative team offering hybrid working and a competitive salary and benefits package.
This varied position sits within the firm's global Risk function, supporting the onboarding of new clients and matters while providing practical advice on regulatory and compliance issues. Alongside managing day-to-day conflicts and due diligence work, you'll contribute to policy development, regulatory projects, risk initiatives and process improvements as the legal and regulatory landscape continues to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse conflict reports and conduct conflicts, AML, sanctions and reputational risk checks for new clients, matters and lateral hires.
- Manage client and matter onboarding, reviewing due diligence documentation and identifying any additional actions required.
- Advise partners, lawyers and business services teams on risk, compliance and regulatory queries.
- Support the development of firm policies, internal procedures, training and risk communications.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assist with implementing changes to compliance processes.
- Maintain risk registers, compliance records, internal databases and governance documentation.
- Assist with research, regulatory enquiries and wider risk and compliance projects.
This opportunity would suit someone with around 2-3 years' experience in conflicts and client due diligence within an international law firm who is looking to broaden their career within a wider Risk & Compliance function. You'll have a solid understanding of AML, conflicts and sanctions requirements, strong analytical and organisational skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business. Knowledge of corporate structures is essential, while experience with Intapp or similar conflicts management systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
If you're looking for a role that combines complex conflicts work with broader exposure to regulatory compliance, policy development and strategic risk initiatives, this is an excellent opportunity to join an elite international law firm where you'll work on varied, intellectually stimulating matters and continue building your career within a highly respected global Risk team.
